Hi George

This is just a PC at home, and not linked to any network.

Any further thoughts?

Kind Regards
Nicky

Hi Nicky,

Is you PC part of a network?

Is the embosser setup just for you, or for all users?

If your system is not retaining the Global Embosser changes
you make, it's just possible that this is due to a security
setting in your system which prevents Registry changes.

If that's the case, you may need to have a word with the
system Administrator to allow changes to be made in the
Duxbury branch of the Registry.

I've seen quite a few cases of late where administrators
have locked down the Registry tighter than Fort Knox.

George.

I hope that someone will be able to help me. I have tried
to set my top and binding margins in my global settings, but
it does not want to accept it for all documents. If I
translate a word document, I still need to change my margin
settings under "document" in the menus. What am I doing
wrong? At this stage I am still using Duxbury 10.6.

Thanks in advance

Kind regards
Nicky

Hi Greg,

Depending on what version of DBT you are using, you should
be able to select a Form size of Narrow Width, 11 inch,
braille paper in DBT's embosser setup for the Juliet Pro 50.

This should give you the optimum settings which you can
adjust to allow for binding margins if required.

George.

Hi list,

I have a Juliet Pro 60 and need to Braille music on paper
which, after the
perfs are off, is the three-hole, 8.5 by 11 paper. Although
I have looked
through the settings in the Juliet menus, I haven't found
anything that
looks like the 31 or so spaces I'm accustomed to getting on
the Perkins
Brailler, having allowed for the three-hole margin. Is
there a rule of
thumb to use when addressing paper size questions? Thanks.
