It has come to my attention that it is possible that the fanalging (SP???=

to get the vote moved to Monday is a last ditch effort at some kind of
shanigans. Not sure what, but I certainly would not back off now. If yo=

haven't emailed the committee members to let them know how you stand, =
please do so. =
This is the formal resolution, as it was given to the USET:
WHEREAS, the USA Equestrian Executive Committee ("Executive Committee") h=
as
reviewed the decisions of the Selectors regarding the 2003 FEI World Pair=
s =
Driving Championships, Jardy, France ("Championships"); and
WHEREAS, in accordance with the spirit of Olympism and the purpose of the=
=
United States Olympic Committee and the Ted Stevens Olympic and Amateur
Sports =
Act ("Amateur Sports Act') including "to promote and support amateur
athletic =
activities involving the United States and foreign nations" and including=
=
"obtaining the most competent amateur representation possible in each
event" it is =
among the desires and goals of USA Equestrian as National Governing Body =
("NGB") and National Federation ("NF") that the USA should be represented=
at World =
Championships and other major international competitions wherever possibl=
e;
=
NOW THEREFORE, it is hereby
RESOLVED, that the Executive Committee hereby refers the subject of the =
selection for the Championships back to the Selectors with the direction
that all =
the Selectors arrange to meet with counsel within 72 hours of receipt of
this =
Resolution to fully discuss, review and reconsider decisions as to
conflicts of =
interest, and then the unconflicted Selectors shall meet within 24 hours =
hereafter to consider and decide by majority vote upon selecting a team t=
o =
represent the USA at the Championships, pursuant to the provisions of the=
selection =
procedures; the Executive Committee of the NGB and NF shall have final
approval =
as provided in the selection procedures; and it is further
RESOLVED, that failing that, in the interest of timing and preparedness,
the =
Executive Committee reserves the right to make its own decision. =
It is my understanding that they recieved hundreds of communications in
support of the pairs being sent. They recieved 7 against. I got this
information from a committee member, and although I have not seen the
actual letters, this is the information that I got from them. =

Mr. David Saunders (9 lines) (who works for Tucker Johnson) should we
assume he is NOT going?????????????
Mrs Heather Walker (12 lines) (show manager of The Garden State CDE who
uses Ed Young as TD)
Mrs. Katie Whaley (8 lines) (on whose carriage Ed Young rides as navigato=
r)
Isn't her daughter going to Pony Worlds?????????????? Do you think they
would have heard from her AGAINST if it was the pony team??????? Need I=
say more?
They apparently had ALOT to say in support of not sending them, since th=
e
longest one was 12 lines, and most were only a few. =
For those of you out there that are show managers, it might be nice if yo=
u
remembered these names when considering future assignments. =
