Hey Ben, the new scalable changelog design is great!
I was thinking about a good way to log comment additions and modifications for the discussion plugin (for an RSS feed of latest comments and maybe other uses as well). Now the new changelog format comes exactly right. Still, I'm not sure what's the best way and would like to hear the opinion of other developers.
1) The discussion plugin could store it's log in a separate comments.log file and not interfere with core DokuWiki at all.
2) The discussion plugin could add to the main changelog files with special logline types for comments.
What's better mainly depends on whether this additional information is considered useful or rather a pollution of the changelog. The comments are in a way part of a wiki page, but on the other hand not part of the wiki article.
I tend to the first one, because users already see in the discussion section who added which comment when - and other parts of DokuWiki needn't know about it. But maybe there are compelling reasons to store all user activity on a page in the same place?
Best regards
