[*] If you don't have a PDF plugin installed, it will be downloaded anyway. If some browsers have a problem with that, this should/must be resolved on the browser level, not on the dokuwiki level...or did I miss the point? In any case I vote for the behaviour that uses a PDF plugin if it's present
