I couldn't even get the sidebar plugin working.
I wouldn't recommend using that plugin anyway, because - for some inexplicable reason - it uses *JavaScript* to add the sidebar. Try either the sidebar template (or one of the other templates with a sidebar) or the display_wiki_page plugin instead. 


I duplicated the bug with

      dokuwiki      package     20090214-1 (debian linux)
      discussion    plugin      2009-05-11
      sidebar       plugin      2009-06-05
      mmKanso       template    2.5


If you're using mmKanso, that template comes with a sidebar.
