[dokuwiki] Discussion plugin's comment box disappears after enabling the sidebar plugin

Can one of the well informed developers on this
email list please suggest how to use the
"discussion" and "sidebar" plugins at the same
time?

When I enable the "sidebar" plugin, the

    ~~DISCUSSION~~

instruction stops displaying its comment box.

Maik and Ham also reported this at

I duplicated the bug with

      dokuwiki      package     20090214-1 (debian linux)
      discussion    plugin      2009-05-11
      sidebar       plugin      2009-06-05
      mmKanso       template    2.5
