Yup, VBScript adds in a bunch of external dependencies (including oleaut32.dll), to the tune of roughly 1 MB of memory. Note that the AudioVBScript language is entirely expandable. I believe there was a game that demonstrated of this, including sample code, at the 2001 GDC.
