I did the following in this sequence:
1) upgraded sonar from v4 to v5.2
2) installed CT5.2

the sonar5.2 installation had many of its global folder option settings set the sonar4 directory-not all, but most of them. I thought this was very strange, but left it as it was. in this configuration, sonar5.2 worked fine with the track & clip pane each taking approx half the screen. Then, later, when I set sonar5 global folder options to point to the folders in the sonar5 directory, upon the next sonar session, the screen layout changed, with the clip pane taking up 3 quarters of the screen and the track pane the remaining quarter.

By "not navigating right" i mean that sonar would always tell me I forgot to refresh the screen whenever I tried to up or down arrow through the tracks-regardless of whether I had or not.

At any rate, I changed the folder settings back to point to the sonar4 installation and things are back to normal, but it doesn't seem right that an upgrade of sonar would point back to a previous version for critical folders. Unless, CT made those folder setting changes (pointing to sonar4) without my knowledge.

What CT version are you using? If you installed CT before changing your
folder and template routings, that would matter. CT5.2.9 uses a scheme
where the clips pane occupies a significant portion of the screen.
That's normal. What constitutes CT, "not navigating right?"

when I upgraded from sonar4 to 5.2, everything worked fine. But, today
I
noticed that under the folders tab of the global options menu, many of
the
folders were set to use sonar4's installation. Including templates,
sample
content and the like-very few were set to use sonar5 installation.
Well, I
figured this was wrong and set all folders to sonar5 version.

first thing I noticed upon opening sonar again was that the screen
looked
different-the tracks pane was alotted only about a quarter of the
screen,
and the other pane(I think its the clips pane) took up the rest of the
screen. More important than what it looks like-ct didn't work right.
That
is, when I tried to navigate tracks, it would tell me I forgot to
refresh
the screen regardless of whether I did or not. It just wouldn't
navigate
right. Is this a bug in CT? when I switched back my folders everything

worked ok again. Seems like the templates in the sonar5 folders aren't
the
same as in sonar4, and ct can't deal with them.

Any ideas-any suggestions?
