It is a completely different animal. Dimension is a much more sophistated synth/sample player and the sounds that come with it are of much higher quality than the tts1, which is essentially a gm synth.

How does Dimension Pro stack up against the SoftSynths that come with Sonar(TTS-1 & Roland VSC)? Is there a significant difference or is it a matter of taste?

I Cant answer number 3 of your questions except to refer you to the cakewalk website. If you install it as a DXI you will have to use the Jaws kercer to access the button that opens a tree view of all the sounds. If you by it let me know I will give you more instructions on how to get at the sounds. When you install it gives you an option to install as either DXI or VST. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Jeff Molzow" <jmolzow@xxxxxxx>

Hello All:

This is probably the nubie question of the week, but I'm reading that there are two ways to install softsynths like Cakewalk's dimension Pro, VST and
DXI. Would one of you experts answer a couple of quick questions?? For
background, I'm running Cakewalk 5.2, CakeTalking 5.28 on a 2 ghz system.

1> How do I install Dimension Pro as a DXI as opposed to a VST and do I need
any special third part apps to do so??

2> It was stated here that I would get full access to all the built-in
presets (1500 according to cakewalk website), where and how do I get access
to those presets with CakeTalking??

3> Can anyone point me to a demo of this synth to hear it in action??

Thanks and I'm sorry for the basic level of this one.

Jeff
