yes, saving as mono tracks would put the left speaker in one track the right speaker in the other. Then you can adjust the panning of them independently, for a wider or narrower image for example, or delay one of them by several milliseconds using the nudge feature, or swap them if you wanted to switch from audience to performer's perspective.
