That is what I use, I have the Line-6 pod pro guitar and bass and the line-6
duoverb and they work great!

They are hard ware not soft ware, but, I like it that way.

  Richard:
I'm not a guitar player, but a lot of guys have success with one of the line
6 pod modules, which can simulate a wide range of amp and effect setups.

    Hi all
I own two electric guitars, a fender strat and a flat five by Godin. I also
have a gx-700 guitar fx by boss.
For now, I don't have an guitar amp because I don't go to much in live
performance.
I use it in my home studio most of the time.
I plug it in a 24-08 analog mackie.
I don't want to necessary want to buy an guitar amp. Is there possible to
use a real good preamp to have a good result for a real electric guitar sound?
    Thanks
