If Using firewire, be sure to also disabled (if you haven't already) the
1394 network adapter in the device manager, under the network adapters
category. I heard this helps a bit...

I'm having trouble with audio dropouts too. However, for me, it's my MOTU
896HD interface that's doing it to me. Since I record all my music and other
recordings onto an external hard drive. Isn't there an audio interface of
some sort, that doesn't have any risk of audio dropouts? Or are they all the
same?

Hey Dave and all. Are there any hard and fast rules for setting these
parameters? As far as I can tell, nothing in the Caketalking tutorials
address this issue. While I'm on the subject, what about all the other items
listed in the audio options section that deal directly with Sonar? Are there
any guide-lines on making those settings in order to optimize performance?
Inquiring minds just want to know. Thanks

Also, how about the size of the audio buffer, the bit depth, sample rate?

Hello:
We need to know a little about your setup, e.g. what sound card you are
using, how many tracks and effects you are using, and are you using a
separate hard drive for your audio files?
