Hi Dave, Finale is definatly not accessible to Jaws, buying it at this point would be a complete waste of your money. The two music notators that are accessible are GoodFeel which comes with the lime notator music scoring program, which can import XML music files saved in Finalle, and of Sibelius which with Free Jaws scripts can work too.

However if you want full support You really should consider GoodFeel, as Bill, and Albert are really there to provide you with full support. The problem is that Sibelius even with Jaws scripts has some system requirements, due the complex scripting there are definatly some considerations when using Sibelius and its Jaws cripts. This is not to say that it’s a bad program, in actual fact it’s the power house of scoring programs. However if you want something that’s going to work, and do the Job GoodFeel along with Lime, and Lime aloud is going to do that for you.

Plus you have added advantage in brailling as well as printing your scores.

As I said both Sibelius and GoodFeel are the two softwares that are going to do the job for you.
At this point in time Finalee is not accessible.

Sonar along with CakeTalking is a recording package dedicated to audio folks. While it has a basic scoring feature, it will not cut the professional scoring as its functions are mainly with sequencing, and audio recording.

I hope this information helps.

Is finally accessible with jaws scripts or do you know? I'm asking this
question because i want to make sure that I get the college to buy both
sonar producer, cakewalk scripts as well as lime and lime aloud at the same
time so that they can't tell me you should have made that as part of the
access accomidation when you first started this process.

Dave, for Lime Aloud system requirements including Jaws version, just go to:
http://www.dancingdots.com/prodesc/limealoud.htm

I'm not sure of the minimum Jaws version supported by Sibelius Access, but if you go to their site and contact them, or join their mailing list, you can find out.

Hi There When you order GoodFeel from Dancingdots you will also get a copy of Lime which includes the Lime aloud scripts which will allow you to have a notater program to be able to produce charts for school, and Church. GoodFeel includes the GoodFeel translator which translates music in to braille, and Lime is the music notater software which will allow you to be able to compose scores to have sited partners play, and read. Its definntly the notater software package that will do the job in making sure you are produce professional scores for theory classes. Another notater software package is Sibelius, However scripting from Dancingdots is no longer supported, but there is some one out there who is writing scripts for this software package. I have been using Lime, and Good for several years, and am very confident in stating that this package will definitely cut the job for what you want to do.
Hope this helps.
