That's fine, Phil, so long as everyone appreciates that no
all software is designed this way.
Too many people are still using software such as Office 97,
for example, where performance doesn't improve one iota.

George, from my reading up on this, Sonar is written for
duel core processor systems.

As said above Sonar5, ACID 6 and Podium (supports up to 32
processors).

I think you should read what it does do already: SONAR's got
possibly the best mult-processor (not

Lots of discussion on that one about using Sonar 5 on a duel
core AMD system. Not sure if they are
using Sonar on the 64 bit version of Windows though.
Obviously the 64 nbit version of Windows would
be out for us at the moment.

I hate to spoil the myth, but dual processors don't actually
double the speed of your system without software which can
make use of the process.
Before investing in such a beast, check with your software
manufacturer to see if their software is designed for dual
processor use.
You may find you are in for a few disappointments.

Hi Chi!!
You may want to consider upgrading your CPU to a duel core
processor. Duel core processors are chips that have 2
processors on one chip. For example, if you had a duel core
3 gig then, in actual fact, you would have 6 gig of
processing power.
Regarding the 64 bit version of Windows, Jaws or, CT don't
work on it at all. I am not sure if Jaws will ever be coded
for the 64 bit version of Windows Xp. They may get around
to coding it for vista though.
