Jack,

I use Nero OEM, not the Burning ROM version. The OEM version has a couple 
checkboxes in the main window with the list of files to burn, one is 
normalize and the other is no gap between tracks (good for audio books). 
Also any individual track can be edited to normalize and can you dig it --  
even create a Karike version. Although it doesn't always work too well.

The version I still use and carefully guard is:

Nero-6.6.1.15a

You may be able to find it on sites that carry old software.
