Dennis,

Have you tried using Boost 11 Compression in your output bus?

Like Chris, I export to MP3 or Wave and then use Nero to burn. Then I tell
Nero to Normalize.

But in general, the output needs to be pretty hot in Sonar to get a CD with
a commercial-level volume.

Play around, make a few coasters and you'll finally get where you want to
be.

Hi Chris! Thank you for the information. I will raise the level. Have been
in the inspector. Have seen that there is a main level indicator. You can
choose minus 12, minus 24 to 36 db. What does that refer too?

Take care

Dennis

Dennis, safe level is usually peaking just below 0dBFS, something like
-0.3dBFS, some use -0.2 or -0.1.

I've never tried Sonar's burn feature. I usually export to 16-bit 44.1K
stereo wav, and then burn in Sound Forge, Nero Burning Rom or similar.
