Hello!
what's the pentagon vocoder? I've never heard about that before, is it something which has with the pentagon synth, which is built in sonar to do?
Warm regards,
Jörgen Hansson!

the pentagon synth will vocode anything that is going into the synth, so it will work with recorded or live input. this means that maybe you will want to vocode an audio source maybe an instrument or vocal that is already recorded into the audio track or you can arm the audio track to record your microphone and at the same time arm the midi track so you can record the notes into the midi track. they will both be recorded but the vocoder effect will still be live in realtime it is not recorded so you can play changing presets while you are listening to your recorded performance. once you are happy with the preset you can select both tracks and do a bounce to track and it will bounce a new audio track with your vocoder session. tip: if you add some equalization to the audio source track then you can get much better sound of the pentagon vocoder.

OK, so since hsc routes the mouse, even though alt-shift-l doesn't trigger the button, I left click with my mouse, and poof! I can get the menu and turn the voice modulator thingy on. And I can vocode, even though it doesn't strike me as that great, so far. So I think to myself, OK, let's record it. I arm the audio track, hit record, do stuff, and .... nothing! I apparently record silence. What gives? How do you actually record the output, the funky vocoder sounds that occur when I play my keyboard and talk into the microphone?
