Try pressing the windows key to get to the start menu.
Then press up arrow until you get to skype.
You should have a sub menu
open the submenue with right arrow or enter
and down arrow to "quit skype".

I believe that this is because when you press alt+f4 in skype, it minimizes to the system tray. To fully quit skype, go to the system tray, click on skype, and then go to quit.

    Has anyone had a problem with Skype in windows 7 home premium 64
    bit where the program will not close? It will not even close when
    I press ault f4. I have to close it by going to the task manager.
    If anyone has experienced this problem, how did you fix it? If you
    have never experienced this problem and you would like to help me
    trouble shoot this problem please let me know I'm open.
