[ddots-l] Re: OT Does anyone know which USB2.0 portable drives are suitable for recording audio?

Aren't the data transfer speeds of a USB 2 drive and a firewire drive pretty close now?

I'm confused as I thought that Firewire 400 was rated at 400 megabits per second while USB 2 was 480 megabits per second. But when I look at a few articles online it sounds like those rates are misleading.

fire wire.  The only reason I recommend using the combo USB/Firewire drive, is
