You already have bought great training, 400 pages of it, and it's no harder to 
read than your average posting here. 
It doesn't work or I'm lost are rather open-ended. Read about and familiarize 
yourself with the track pane, the columns of Midi trackss, and try recording a 
simple melody on one track.  If you run into problems, post specific questions 
here and we will all try to help.
