Hi Chris!
No I really don't need a Audio interface, I'm thinking of getting a Mackie Onyx 1640 I. The thing is that I haven't been able to straighten out wich model of VS 700 that don't have a Audio Interface built in. I'm a lucky guy who will not pay this equipment by my own, it will be a cost for my employer. :)

Best regards, Erik Bryndahl

Do you need a control surface that is also an audio interface?
If not, you have other lower cost options like a Mackie Control, or Behringer BCF2000. You definitely want something with motorized faders.

I've often wondered how well the V700 works with Sonar though - you would think it would be the most tightly integrated system, since Cakewalk pushes it. It's expensive though.

So, has anybody actually had their hands on one?

Chris
