I've been battling to get an OvPro document to print correctly. It contains text and drawfile images and displays correctly on-screen. But printing results in half of the drawfiles and, bizarrely, half of OvPro's text underlines being changed from a solid to a dashed linestyle.
There is always the catch about "thin" lines i.e. zero width, which may look OK on screen and near invisible on printers.
I would be inclined to try another printer driver e.g. my SPrinter (see web site) which renders to a sprite.
It sounds like you're making a case for things getting into "dash mode", and then staying in it, but that is not how RISC OS works for Draw module output.
