Thanks for following up on the Ashlyn issue. This does give a little
more background to the issue. In particular, if this had been mentioned
multiple times... We will still touch on it tomorrow in the group to
see if 24 hours have any additional thoughts.
We may want to tweak our documentation next year to either call out only
Collindale caps at meets, or only Collindale or generic (aka not other
team) caps, ... ??

and talk in person. I let them know we would like to touch on it in
tomorrows meeting but they wanted to talk it over this am.
Amanda wanted details of who it was that came to me (Joyanne), had I
talked to Ashlyn's parents (no) was there anyone else involved (Ella &
Preea).
It came about when they had told Ashlyn multiple times to not where
her Vortex cap (issue being more that is was another team rather than
just a fun cap), They felt it was important to know if it came from
Ashlyn's parents or another parent stepping in, in other words, in
someone else's business. Ashlyn was not in the water for a medical
reason (that they are aware of) and not for any reason to do with the
cap talk. They don't see an issue if Ashlyn is ok and they haven't
heard from the parents. Amanda said it's not like she was using a
curs word or something. Mackenzie emphasized maintaining open
communication so there are no misunderstandings.
Also, I looked at the last meet results and see Blake Hubert as our
additional Gold cap swimmer!
