The problem was that the seed times for all of the Collindale kids were wrong in the original heat sheets because coaches were using times from our first meet of the season. When some Collindale parents saw this, they complained (understandably) because it meant their kids were not with appropriate competition. Then Maddie tried to alter everything immediately before the meet, but only altered the first day. (We did try to warn her that fixing the first day only would not solve the problem the second day.) Kimberly actually altered the programs at the last minute to match what Maddie gave her, but then when some parents saw that the second day of the program still had the seeding issues, we couldn't go back and actually reprint the program again, and Maddie tried to fix it with new heat sheets the second day. (And all hell broke loose, because the parents from other teams could then see that /their/ swimmers were often affected adversely because of the changes to our kids seeding.) The issue with Lance's ad, is that parents were actually only using the program for the first day of the meet, because the original program was entirely wrong for the second day. I think FAST had also arranged for their ad to be by the second day events, thinking it would be seen by families of younger swimmers.

Thanks for following up on this, Lisa!

Does anyone remember this? I know we had to print and reprint programs last year, but I don't recall what the programs looked like for the 10 & unders day. So far, 3 businesses are reissuing new checks for us totaling $175. I'm waiting to hear from the other businesses that total $225. Then there is Lance's $150...

Maybe the check wasn’t cashed because the ad wasn’t run as it was supposed to be. It ran in the first day of the program, but on the second day heat sheets were printed and the ad was not in it.

Hi Lance,

This is Lisa Hubert from Collindale Swim Team. We came across an old check that you wrote to the swim team last summer, but it was never deposited. Since the bank cannot deposit checks older than 6 months, we wondered if you would consider re-issuing a new one. This check was written from your personal account for FAST ads in last year’s city meet program, so I wonder if FAST then reimbursed you. There was a full page for age-group FAST and a half page for Masters FAST in the 2013 city meet program.

Here are the details of the check:

Check # 2497

Date: 8-Jul-13

Written to Collindale Swim Team

Amount: $150

Memo: FAST ads

Account: x883

Thank you for considering this old matter.

Sincerely,

Lisa Hubert

Collindale Swim Team Treasurer
