Reason I wasn't courteous is that THE best person to ask is Ben Close
(or more accurately, his pet Venusian, Carly). The images used for the
Installfest were not all hand-drawn! ie Ben/Carly have found a source
for Beastie images I don't have.
Regarding copyright:
Kirk Mckusick <mckusick@xxxxxxxxxxx> holds the copyright to the
BSD Daemon and you may need to get his explicit permission before
you use it. Please see his web-page on the subject:

Note "may" and that Kirk is the original designer of Beastie, not the
designer of all the variants that followed.
