The real arcade setups are very expensive. It would be cheaper to just
build one. Vewlix-style layouts are on the net:

The cabs they have are fine though. They just need better monitors and
parts (and button templates for KOF).

As for the actual Taito hardware, it's very pricey. About R30k for KOF13
Climax, excluding shipping. The thing is, almost all suppliers sell the
bootleg SFIV and KOF boards for 1/3rd of the price.

It's cheaper in Japan for the originals because they give you all sorts of
extras:

2 copies of the game
2 control panels + sticks and buttons + card readers

for R20K (that's the cost of 2 bootlegs)

Shipping costs would be enormous though.

The problem with KOF XIII bootleg kits is that you're not sure if the
hardware can run the game properly.

eg. You don't really know how well this kit will perform:

SFIV has lower hardware requirements so virtually any bootleg kit will work
properly.
