McAfee is supposed to do that if you have everything current.

Did you install Disk Cleaner so you can remove any files dropped in Temp, or
anywhere else.

Using  Find....                      sp.html
drop this into find and see if the file in your drive...

 HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Search
"SearchAssistant" = "sp.html"
McAfee should have repaired your Registry when it remove the trojan...
Go to Start\Run... type in regedit
When Regedit opens
click on Edit/Find......
Copy the above key and paste it into the find window... click Find Next
If you get the message that it's finished checking the Registry but nothing
turned up in Find your trojan has been removed and the Registry repaired.
If you had disabled System Restore it should also have been cleaned from
there.
If Disk Cleaner cleaned everything on it's list nothing can hide there.....
Your trojan is gone and you can put the check in the mail !
