[CTS] Re: shutting off write protect

2 days ago, I tried shutting off the Sys/Res again and re-ran the McAfee
one disc at a time and, for some reason, NONE of them showed a trojan!!!!
Suddenly, magically, it's gone!! So I rebooted in Safe Mode and ran EVERYTHING
test-wise and NOTHING showed up again!! (A few minor cookie style bugs caught
by Ad Aware, but not the trojan.) I booted up again in normal mode and ran
McAfee AGAIN. Again, it showed no trojan. Now, is the trojan gone completely
(I didn't delete it, I wasn't ever allowed to!), or has it opened up and gone
through my system, taking itself out of the trojan mode? The name of the
trojan was Start Page-DU.DLL, or StartPage-DU.DLL. If I remember correctly,
the
W32.Bagel worm wasn't deleted by me either, it just vanished one day and
"became" the Start Page trojan.
