[CTS] Re: master/slave configuration

I was referring to the one IDE cable, assuming that the other is occupied by
a CD-ROM and a CD-RW!

I'm not sure what generation computer you have, but if it is not too old and
has
2 IDE channels (Primary/Secondary), you could connect the drive in question
to
the secondary channel by itself. This way it won't matter whether the
jumper is
set to master, slave, cable select, or even what IDE ribbon cable location
it is
connected to.
