That was pretty much the reason for the question. I posted that info for
Suzy's benefit because of the earlier discussion about her buying a HDD
on EBay.
As I recall she has "an old cheapie Compaq" which I seriously doubt will
tolerate a 320 GB SATA drive. The warranty period on those large drives
varies from 90 days to 3 years, depending on the package and the seller.
I haven't seen a WD drive with a five year warranty, EVER !
