Hello,
I have been pushing straight back 100 feet for as long as I have been using
IYP, and I have had no problems doing so. I think robert's suggestion is a
sound one.

Best regards,
Adam
P.S.
Robert,
That is fantastic that you were able to find a way for us to taxi to the gate.
Great work! I know this was a challenge for a while.

  Hello Ron,

REGARDING: Wouldn’t it fit with my original recommendation by placing it in
between have a good flight by the push back ground crew and just before the
start up check list begins.

Actually, I have made the changes and updated the checklists. The Salute
Release query, now comes at the end of the Start Up sequence. It can't really
come at the start of the Start Up sequence, because Ground may still be pushing
the aircraft back.

Pushing straight back 100 feet is always safe, and will more than suffice for
BVI members to experience the realistic effects of same. Thanks for bringing
this topic up.

  Regards,

  Robert

well, Robert, since we’re using the push back now by simply pushing
straight back.

    Hello Ron,

You are absolutely correct. It was originally placed there to accommodate
BVI members, because BVI members rarely conducted the Push Back sequence. I
will figure out another way to side-step this issue.

    Robert

I think that the question have we received the salute is in the wrong
place.
How can we say that we've received the salute if the push back crew
hasn't given it to us until they say to have a nice flight?
      So I recommend the following.
I say that the question have we received the salute should be just after
the pushback just before the start up.
Or am I wrong on this point?
Just curious to know what my fellow BVI pilots think and if they agree or
disagree with me on the above point.
      Many Thanks.
