REGARDING: Wouldn’t it fit with my original recommendation by placing it
in between have a good flight by the push back ground crew and just before
the start up check list begins.
Actually, I have made the changes and updated the checklists. The Salute
Release query, now comes at the end of the Start Up sequence. It can't
really come at the start of the Start Up sequence, because Ground may still
be pushing the aircraft back.
Pushing straight back 100 feet is always safe, and will more than suffice
for BVI members to experience the realistic effects of same. Thanks for
bringing this topic up.
