Hi All,
I was trying to make an approach into Seattle this evening, and ran into an
issue with the airspeed of my 737-800. Despite the IAS indicating 210 kts, I
was still making 400+ over the ground, and going way too fast for ATC to vector
me for the approach.
I kept saying “airspeed 210,” and IYP acknowledged, but it didn’t seem to
matter.
I’ve also heard this happen when using Radar Contact once or twice, and thought
it was an RC issue. It didn’t occur to me that it might be IYP until I heard it
live.
Any information or advice appreciated. I had to abort my approach today for
unrelated reasons, but it was still frustrating.
