Here's another thought. If your school downloaded the latest version of Office, then they could also get a free version of WindowEyes. The BN supports WindowEyes very well.
If your family can afford it, I would suggest they buy you your own laptop with Office and WindowEyes on it. Then, you wouldn't need to use the school's computer.

marissa: You do not need to download Key View. Keyview is so that a sighted teacher, or someone else, can view your bn's information on a computer. What you need to do is make sure that the version of NVDA is the most current, then select the bn as your Braille Display. Note: If you are using a qt midel, you will need to use the braille keyboard option. NVDA,as far as I know doesn't yet support qt commands. Joseph Lee knows more about this as I believe he is part of the team that helped develop the driver for NVDA Rob On 2/25/14, Marissa <pianogirlforlife7@xxxxxxxxx> wrote:Allright,I have a computer at school that has NVDA on it. For those who do not know, NVDA is a screen-reader. I want to use the BN as a display since I do have the chord, and a display. How would I do that, and how would it work? Could I control the computer with it? Anything I should know?BNU: BrailleNote Users - a forum for users of BrailleNote family of products from Humanware.
