So what exactly happened? I have been using bns for years, a classic, an mPower and now an Apex. I use them extensively for moving, coppying, creating and deleting files and folders and have never deleted anything that I did not want deleted.

As Marcus said, that is a bug in keysoft. To my knowledge, it has been around for years without being addressed. Sorry you lost data - I know that feeling all too well - but the best thing to do is write to, and call, Humanware. Explain the problem and what happened as a result, and maybe they will finally fix it.

Are you sure it's all gone? Maybe there's stuff that your
BrailleNote doesn't see? Could you try going to the file manager
and Browse Files and see if anything might be there? It just
doesn't make sense that that would erase your entire sd card.
