As Marcus said, that is a bug in keysoft. To my knowledge, it has been around 
for years without being addressed. Sorry you lost data - I know that feeling 
all too well - but the best thing to do is write to, and call, Humanware. 
Explain the problem and what happened as a result, and maybe they will finally 
fix it.
