Ottawa Canada Dear Jessica and List: A Braillewriter is a machine that writes Braille in response to input on its keys. It is essentially a typewriter that makes Braille characters. In the USA and Canada the most common Braillewriter is the Perkins Brailler made by the Howe Press of the Perkins School for the blind, Watertown, Massachusetts. Hope this helps. Discussion of Braillewriters is off-topic for the BrailleNote list so if you would like further information please write to me off-list at: b.lingard@xxxxxxxxxxxx Brian ------------------------------- BNU: BrailleNote Users - a forum for users of BrailleNote family of products from Humanware.
