Dear Jessica and List:

A Braillewriter is a machine that writes Braille in response to input on its
keys.  It is essentially a typewriter that makes Braille characters.

In the USA and Canada the most common Braillewriter is the Perkins Brailler
made by the Howe Press of the Perkins School for the blind, Watertown,
Massachusetts.
