Well, the BP18 is not exactly up to date - the latest Android version is 4.2, 
but it is running 2.3, or was the last I heard. Yes, it has some very neat 
functions the apex does not, and may never, have, but I don't know enough to 
compare it in all areas, particularly braille handling. My personal choice is 
to forego the notetaker entirely in place of a braille display and an iPhone, 
but that's just me and this solution may not be right for everyone.
