Ann, You are right, but there is one major consideration. You have to have certain equipment before you can even work off a subscription, and there are soome people who just do not have the money to spare for a computer or notetaker. Actually if you think about it $50.00 per year isn't bad. It works out to $0.14 per day for a library of 36,000 books! Those books you can read and delete or read and keep forever! For $0.14 per day, that's a tenth of the cost of a cup of coffee, you have access to newspapers and magazines and as many books as you could possibly want! Heck, if you can't afford it, I think they will let you work off the subscription by validating or contributing books, so there's no reason to stay without Bookshare. Hey, put $0.14 in a jar every day for a year, and you'll have the price of a Bookshare subscription. Ann P. -- Ann K.
