Hi Cindy,
When I think of abridgment, it always reminds me of an essay I read in high
school by E. B. White. It discussed the whole idea of condensation, from
the Reader's Digest to other condensations. Finally, he statred that a man
did an analysis on a given day to condense everything in print to a sing
word. One day. It was irtnog. That, by the way, was the name of this
satirical essay.
