Hi all,
Monica, I saw this happening this week too, and offered blind-x as an
alternative list for such discussion. Since I posted my invitation, I
have had two new subscribers to blind-x. I love these discussions, and
I would like to see them continue, but they need an alternative venue.
BTW, for those of you like E., FYI, just so you know, blind-x is
moderated in the sense that I and my co-owner read all messages. The
only time we step in to quell the frey is when somebody's actually
flaming someone or folks become too irate and start flinging insults
and so on. We try to keep the topics blindness related, but we're not
anal about it. And in case you are worried about discussing religion
and figure that blind-x has a preponderance of Christians on it, it
doesn't. In fact, my co-owner is a Pagan priest and teacher. He
doesn't show up often as he's embroiled in this school he's teaching at
in South Africa, but he keeps me balanced when I tend to become overly
Christian or overly Western in my opinions. The air's fresh, and the
traffic is relatively light at the moment. It can spring into a huge
set of messages, and I've known it to do that, but at the moment, it's
fairly quiet and could use a shot in the arm.
