David,

Could that problem be specific to the screen reader that you're using
because it doesn't seem to happen to all of us? It all seems so complicated
with all of us using different versions of different screen readers. I used
to run into these problems a lot when I used Audible.com frequently.

Subject: [bookshare-discuss] Question Regarding the bookshare.org Web Site

Hi.
When Benetech made changes to the Bookshare.org web site, I reported several
bugs as well as a few suggestions to this list. One of the issues I reported
is the consistent issue where, when first opening the site, certain links
don't seem to work the first time but they do work subsequent times. As an
example, the first attempt to go to the My Bookshare link takes me back to
the main page but subsequent attempts to access the link work properly.
Also, when I perform a book search when first opening Bookshare.org, the
search is ignored and I am taken back to the main site but subsequent
searches work properly. I don't mean to be a pest but I'm writing to ask if
this particular issue is being addressed as I find it to be a bit of a
nuisance. Admittedly, you can work around it quickly but I'm just wondering
if benetech is working on the problem. Many thanks from a very happy
Bookshare member.
