Hi, Evan and All,

I generally download books in .brf and listen to them on the Bookport. I think
the Daisy version would make it clearly whether page breaks are in the file.
When I unzip a Daisy version there are ten files. Does anyone know which file
I would use on my bookport? Thanks.
I did open the file that opens on the Internet and see that Waterbrook Press is
an imprint of Random House. So I have learned that I need to be very watchful
of this sort of thing.

Lori, if you're so inclined, you could check out the PQ version of that book
and see if it has any page breaks. If not, or if it has very few, as many PQ
books do, then you could resubmit your version on the basis that it is of
better quality by virtue of it having all its page breaks. If it is rejected
again, it will be interesting to see what reason is given.

On the other hand, if the PQ version does have all the page breaks it's
supposed to have, then your out of luck I'm afraid.

  Just a thought.

  Evan

I know that the other day we shared how nice it would be to have certain
publishers submit their books to Bookshare, but it is an equally unpleasant
feeling to spend hours proofreading a submission just to receive an e-mail like
the following.
And Waterbrook Press is not listed on the list of publishers who submit
books, so how can this sort of thing be avoided.
I spent hours on this book, but I guess each of us will just have to go
through this sort of waste of time periodically.
And I didn't even enjoy the book that much.

    Dear Loralee,

Thank you for your efforts to prepare a book for the Bookshare collection.
We are contacting you because the book you proofread, Extraordinary: The Life
You're Meant To Live by John Bevere , has not been added to Bookshare.

We cannot add your book to the collection because: The publisher put a copy
of this book into the collection earlier this morning. Sorry!

We encourage you to resubmit this book if you can fix the problem. Please
contact volunteer@xxxxxxxxxxxxx if you need more information regarding your
submission.

We appreciate the time you spend contributing to Bookshare, and look
forward to continuing to build the collection together.

    Sincerely,
    The Bookshare Team
