Missy,

This seems totally plausible to me.  Cell phones are really just small 2-way
radios and they often transmit signals to the cell system that users are
unaware of.  This is absolutely normal.  Since the BP was probably no more
than a few inches away, it's quite conceivable that the energy field
generated by the phone was enough to reset the unit to factory defaults.
The best way to avoid this is to keep them separated when you can.  Lou
