Rick,
That should work for each new card you want to use. The BP will then be able to work with the card.

Hello Pamela,

Thank you very much for this information. I hadn't run across this previously, and I thought I'd read over the help files at least 3 times. I don't know how I missed it.

One question I have, however, is this all I will have to do when I want to make use of a new card. I have purchased 3 new 2 GIG cards to use with the player.

The original card is working correctly, then. When you connect, it's supposed to open the software. If the new card is not doing that, then perhaps you need to reformat the card.

Disconnect from the PC and press all 4 corners on your Book Port. Press again to confirm.

After that, hook it back to the PC and see what happens.

 Pamela

does this happen with any other card? When I have the original card in, it automatically opens the transfer program when I plug the book Port into the computer. When I plug in the Book Port with the new flash card, nothing happens, other than the audible beep that lets you know that the circuit is complete between the Book Port and computer.

Check your startup folder in start menu / programs, tell me if bookport launcher is listed there. That's a little program which runs in the background and waits for the book port to be connected, then automatically opens book port transfer when it detects the device. If bookport launcher is not running, this won't work, and furthermore, bookport transfer won't even detect the book port once you launch it. If you need to, write back to the list and I'll give you instructions on how to get that back up and running.

There is no program shown in StartMenu/Programs called Program Launcher. Is it necessary, as the original card seems to launch the transfer program.
