Shaz! Good to hear you stirring. Wondered about you. I haven't posted much
either. Just a lot of offline stuff pulling me away. I probably should keep
track of what I've read, but haven't. I can usually remember a little way in,
if I've read it before, if I did not catch on from the title. Once in awhile
titles go right past me, if the synopsis sounds interesting, and I just either
mark through the dots on the form, or braille the number down real quick
sifting through the audio of talking books magazine. I have quite a stack back
of books at the moment.
Only have settled down to read a couple of fiction books this past month. Both
were enjoyable, but one was particularly beautiful. It was a little coming of
age story that is still so relatable even at the age I am now. It brought back
a lot of memories. I need to look the title up from my hard drive. It was on
this phone for awhile, but I cleared it from my USB Disc Pro app to put some
more unread books in. Pretty sure it's still in my desktop though. It's a
keeper.
Still slogging my way through a Bette Midler biography, that I started maybe
two years back.
I basically had to rewind and start it further back than I'd left off. I think
when I started it the first time I was just overwhelmingly distracted, and
there is so much information crammed into it of her entire working history, and
peripheral characters, (people she worked with and still works with), as well
as business deals details, that it just requires more attention to absorb all
of it. She is person that really works at about three or four jobs a day, as
far as time goes into tying up all the inbox stuff for each thing on a daily
basis. It is interesting, and helpful business information, or I wouldn't
still be trying to get through it. The funny part is, that there is now
probably ten more years of work and life to add on to it. Not a lot of resting
going on. Lol
Gotta love it.

Hi all, I don't know about anyone else but I have been keeping a record of
books I have read this year. I tend to create a document with each books
information on it for books I am currently reading or books I would like to
read at some stage. So once I have finished reading a book I put these
documents into a folder for finished books. I added a document yesterday
after finishing a book and noticed that I have reached two hundred books for
this year. This is just from one library so I have another library which I
read books from and in that finished folder I have only thirteen. However
the year isn't finished yet so I will be interested in seeing how many I get
up to by new year.

I read a selection of formats. Braille, audio and I have even counted
children's picture books which are in braille. The children's books are only
short but I figure I have read them so I count them. However I don't count
them each time I read them or my number would be allot higher since I read
to my nieces quite a bit, which is the reason I borrow the books in the
first place. Now come to think of it I haven't counted the books I have
bought to read to my nieces so that is another four books.

I don't count the books I wasn't able to finish but I don't normally have
that many I don't finish. Mainly the books I haven't finished are because of
the book club I am involved in. I am the youngest member so not many of the
books are aimed at my age group so I find them very hard to get through.
Also allot of them are on topics I am just not interested in.

I would be interested to know if anyone else keeps track of the books they
have read and if they do what number are you up to?

Bye for now.

From Shaz.
