Have also got some allergex eye drops here, but also don't want to use them all that often. I used to take antihistamine tablets when was a laaitie, and lived in Pretoria since the hay fever levels were a bit higher there than they are this side in Kempton Park, but not too sure if that's too relevant right about now - maybe I'll try it at some stage. The other funny thing with this visualisation is that before went over to see guy in UK, where he did things like acupuncture, etc., everything was just plain/flat grey, but within first week or so that side, I started sort of seeing these shapes, etc., and at least 2 or three times I'm pretty sure I couldn't have known about something in any way, but I still saw something representing it. Anyway, will think about maybe phoning her, but location would be bit of an issue with regard to trying to actually go see her as such. IT SEEMS TO HELP A BIT WHEN MY EYES FEEL BURNY OR DRY. I ONLY USE IT WHEN I NEED THEM. I DO NOT BELIEVE IN USING ANY THING ON A PERMANENT BASIS BECAUSE YOUR EYES WILL JUST GET USED TO IT ANY WAYS AND THEN IT WILL NOT WORK ANY MORE. ALSO TRY TO TAKE AN ANTIHISTAMINE TABLET. IT ALSO CAN MAKE YOUR EYES FEEL BETTER. DON'T KNOW WHY BUT I THINK IT MIGHT BE BECAUSE IT OPENS UP ALL THE LITTLE CHANNELS IN YOUR CYNICIS AND ALSO PERHAPS THE TEARDUCTS IN THE EYE, DON'T KNOW. THE SHAPES YOU SEE MIGHT HAVE SOMETHING TO DO WITH THE RETINA THAT WANTS TO SEE SHAPES OR PERHAPS YOUR EYES MIGHT REALLY SEE BUT THERE IS A LINK MISSING TO YOUR BRAIN. I AM JUST GUESSING!I WILL FORWARD THIS MAIL TO MY FRIEND, ARLENE. SHE IS THEE, ... LOW VISION SPECIALIST IN PRETORIA. PERHAPS SHE HAS HEARD OF SIMILAR CASES BEFORE AND MIGHT HAVE AN, ANSWER FOR YOU. WHAT IS THE ACTUAL PROBLEM WITH YOUR EYES? IF YOU FEEL THAT YOU WOULD LIKE TO TALK TO ARLENE, HER NUMBER IS; 012 332 0378. SHE IS AT THE COUNCIL ON WEDNESDAYS BUT ONLY SEE PEOPLE THERE ON APPOINTMENTS. SHE HAS HER OWN LOW VISION PRACTICE AT HER HOME IN WAVERLEY. WE ALL STRUGGLE WITH DRY EYES, MAINLY BECAUSE OF THE POLLEN AND DUST. GO WELL MY FRIEND. I at one stage went to go see an opthalmologist this side, and she wanted me to carry on using some or other specific eyedrops that she prescribed, roundabout twice a day, but I got gatvol of her sort of ignoring any questions I asked her, and just sort of changing the subject all the time, when I asked her about the funny/strange shapes I am permanently visualising as such, etc. etc., but in any case while she reckoned thos eye drops were healthy, they didn't really help for dry feelings/pain etc. Anyway, I know us blindies apparently don't blink often enough, and I do wear sunglasses to block wind/air if driving in someone's car for more than just a quick pop round wherever, but was just wondering if anyone else has a better/specific way of working around stuff like this? TIA (thanks in advance) Jacob Kruger Blind Biker Skype: BlindZA '...fate had broken his body, but not his spirit...'
