That may work, I never never thought about using the lathe. I have a four jaw
chuck that I have not yet used.

I do not no if you have access
to a lathe with a 4 jaw chuck
if so put peace
in chuck with flat side facing tale peace and put drill in tale and the
lathe will drill ded center of your peace

the pieces have pegs that are too short. The pegs have a diameter of about one
eighth inch.
