Thanks Pat, That solved the port problem. So, now please
try your hand at this.

On one account, my password has changed. Try as I might, I
am not able to locate in Eudora 7.1 just how to go about
changing the password for an existing account. How does one
do this?

Also, is it possible to retrieve email from only one account
rather than from all accounts? When I hit control-m, this
seems to attempt to retrieve email from all accounts.

Thanks again for your help.

Don Roberts

Hi! I'm happy to help you, as I experienced the same thing
not long ago.

Here is what you do.

Assuming that your Eudora folder is in your c:\program
files\qualcomm\eudora

Please do the following:

1. Go into the c:\program files\qualcomm\Eudora folder.
2. Find the folder called "extrastuff"
3. in that folder, locate the file called esoteric.epi
4. Copy this file into your Eudora folder.
5. Open Eudora, and go into the tools and options, and close
to the
bottom, you will see something called ports.
6. Just tab through this, and change the ports where
necessary.

I hope this helps.
