Not necessarily. I have used both Eudora and thunderbird with Windows 7 64-bit. Eudora didn't work completely for me, that is, some messages don't quite display right when arrowing up and down, but jaws screen refreshes got it to work ok. So, I would try before I ruled Eudora or Thunderbird out. Because one person couldn't get them to work, doesn't categorically mean they don't.
